Can you dance here?
Probably not. This is mostly a show to listen to.
Why we think so
- The theater has rows of seats plus a raised VIP section with cabaret tables, and we found no dance floor. Concert ads say the music makes you want to dance, but expect a seated show.
- The band plays upbeat soul and funk meant to get people dancing, but the Oct 4 show is a seated theater concert, so expect mostly listening with some dancing.
- It is a concert in a theater with seats.
How we checked (4 sources)
- tripadvisor.com (opens in a new tab): Theater description says it seats 330, including a VIP section of raised banquet seats.
- cmpac.com (opens in a new tab): CM Performing Arts Center page: Philly soul tribute, Sunday Oct 4 at 7 pm.
- yelp.com (opens in a new tab): Reviews talk about plays, candlelight concerts and comfortable seating; none mention dancing.
- thesouljamrevue.com (opens in a new tab): Band site: high-energy soul, funk and R&B show that makes you want to dance and sing along.
The score is our best guess from the venue, the band and the listing. Crowds, space and rules can change, so ask the venue if dancing matters to you. How the score works.
