• Partner dancing Two people dance together with steps you can learn, like swing, salsa, hustle, tango or ballroom. You can come alone and ask people to dance.
• Party dancing Dance however you like to a band or DJ, like at a club, bar or wedding. No steps or partner needed.

Why we think so

• Bands play outdoors while guests sit at garden tables and lounges, many booked ahead. A 2010 video shows a packed crowd dancing to a Latin band here, but that was under earlier owners. We found no recent reports either way, so ask before you plan to dance.
• A wedding and party band whose song list is sorted by dance music: dance tunes, disco, Motown, Latin, swing and parent dances. A Long Island event company lists it as its evening dance band. Public shows are fewer, often afternoon waterfront or vineyard sets.
